The Busselton Repertory Club is celebrating its latest pantomime, with Camelot the Panto to run from December 29 to January 13 at the Weld Theatre.

Co-directed by Leanne Cannon and Ingrid Dwyer, the cast are recreating the legendary tale of King Arthur, played by Isaac Whiteside.

Ms Cannon, a first-time director with a wealth of acting experience, said more than 500 tickets had sold already.

“You’ve got to get your tickets quick. In a flash they’ll be gone.”

Jamie McGregor is preparing to act in his 18th and final performance and said for a long time it was the only thing he did during the summer holidays.

“I’ve met a whole bunch of friends through pantomime. I used to be quite shy but now I have the confidence to speak up,” he said.

The Repertory Club is a great platform for aspiring actors, with member Amy Jackson recently accepted into the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney.

Panto tickets can be bought at the Busselton Repertory Club at Weld Theatre or on its website.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 concession and $10 for children under 12.
