Reckless jet ski driver charged

Dunsborough police have charged a 22-year-old man from Busselton in regards to a serious incident at Old Dunsborough Boat Ramp on December 12.

Police with the assistance of marine investigators from the Department of Transport, conducted a joint investigation into an incident involving allegedly reckless driving of a jet ski.

As a result of this joint investigation the man has been charged with acts likely to endanger life, health or safety of a person. He is due to appear before the Busselton Magistrates Court on April 7.

Police will allege the man was riding the jet ski in a reckless manner which resulted in a 14-year-old boy receiving an injury to his hand and approximately $22,000 damage to a ski boat.
