Fresh from their success at WA’s Junior Surf titles, the region’s surfers dominated the field at the weekend’s 2018 Peel Pro.

With a cadre of the region’s best young surfers making the trip to Mandurah, Jed Gradisen and Finn Cox led the charge in the junior results. Dunsborough surfer Duke Nagtzaam impressed judges in difficult conditions during the two-day event in the open section.

Yallingup’s Emma Cattlin secured top berth in the open women’s contest, ousting Cowaramup Boardriders’ Maddie Cawood, Sophie Butcher, and Margaret River’s Zali Hewson.

Fresh from winning State junior champion crowds, brothers Jed and Ben Gradisen performed well in the juniors.

Jed Gradisen won the contest, followed by Cox, while Ben Gradisen and Gracetown’s Sol Pogue-Englert took joint third position.

Nagtzaam won the open men’s division, followed by Margaret River’s Ben Spence, Zak Ogram, and Cyrus Cox.
