Residents invited to try on $1.7M jewellery collection

Members of the public are invited to get up close and personal with a display of hand-crafted diamond pieces at an interactive exhibition at Nina’s Jewellery in Dunsborough. Officially launched on 11th January 2024, Crescendo, presented by Nina’s Jewellery, is billed as telling a precious Western Australian story in an exquisite exhibition. The 10 pieces in the exhibition range in value from $78,000 to $285,000 and all feature exceedingly rare Argyle pink diamonds from the now closed Argyle Diamond Mine. Nina’s general manager of product and finance Shivangi Modi said the pieces were representative of the care and quality taken with all of Nina’s creations. “Crescendo is a collection of distinctive pieces that all contain a multitude of tiny details that combine into one extraordinary whole, a creation of sublime beauty,” Ms Modi said. “Our point of difference is that we actively encourage people to try our jewellery on — even pieces valued at close to $300,000. “Crescendo, while grand, won’t be locked away in a vault. We want people to touch, feel, and see the incredible craftsmanship and discover the hidden details in the extraordinary settings, some of which only the wearer can see,” she said. The jewellers in the Dunsborough workshop spent 575 hours meticulously crafting the the collection that contains 840 diamonds, and includes 404 Argyle pink diamonds. Krysta Ryan, general manager of sales and marketing for Nina’s, explained the origins of the names for the collection. “All of the pieces in the collection are named using words that denote happiness and joy, and this led to the title Crescendo for the exhibition. Each piece is full of tiny details, and the collection builds in intensity to an extraordinary whole, Crescendo is a perfect fit,” Ms Ryan explained. Nina’s says its team at Dunsborough Centrepoint shopping centre offers an inclusive and exceptional experience to every person who enters the doors. This is a rare opportunity Ms Ryan is keen to share. “Come in, try on, get the photo for Insta and enjoy a rare opportunity to be dripping in exquisite and incomparable diamonds at Nina’s Jewellery this summer,” Ms Ryan said. “So much of what makes this special are hidden details that can only be seen by the wearer, this is why we want people to really experience this collection.” Sue Piercey from Busselton, was one of the first people to take Nina’s up on their invitation to see the collection up close. Ms Piercey spent around 20 minutes admiring the collection, and trying on some of the pieces. As she examined the Jubilation ring, she was asked if she had ever seen anything like it before. “Only through a window, I feel really privileged to have been able to try on such exquisite jewellery. “The Jubilation ring was my favourite,” Ms Piercey said. Ms Ryan said that was a very practical choice. “You can even wash the dishes in that ring,” she said. Nina’s Jewellery is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
