Stedman snaps up accolades

Aerial photographer Ty Stedman has been recognised for his creativity and innovation in image-making, winning several accolades at the Australian Institute of Professional Photography State Awards.

Stedman was named AIPP WA commercial photographer of the year and was also a finalist in the WA travel professional photographer of the year category.

Stedman said he had always dabbled in photography, but it wasn’t until he moved to the South West about six years ago that he made landscape and commercial photography a primary focus.

“The South West is a good stimulus for getting outside and getting some shots,” he said.

Stedman’s collection of work includes several aerial shots taken from planes and helicopters throughout the South West, Pilbara, South Australia and New Zealand.
