Busselton Surf Life Saving Club endurance athletes Lucy Hill and Isabella Bidesi have claimed silver medals at the WA Surf Lifesaving Championships on Saturday.

Perfect weather greeted more than 350 athletes at Sorrento beach on Saturday for the endurance format which included both age group athletes and open age athletes.

The first events for the day were the 4km and 2km beach runs with Hill competing in the under-17 age group of the 4km beach run and Bidesi in the under-12 age group in the 2km beach run.

Both athletes showed excellent running endurance in the tough event against some of WA’s best runners.
