time to laugh at life
Award-winning comedians Jon Pinder, Simone Springer and Michael Gledhill will perform their show Life at Settlers Tavern on Thursday.
In Life three of Perth’s best comics give a hilarious look into relationships, work, kids and Aussie life.
Jon Pinder was the winner of the WA final of Australia’s biggest and most prestigious open-mic comedy competition WA RAW and winner of the best joke at Laugh Resort 2018.
Co-star Mick Gledhill is a regular on Perth’s Comedy Lounge panel Pontificants and has performed at comedy clubs across the US.
Simone Springer is also a RAW WA finalist and appeared in the sell-out Fringe world shows The Motherhood and Silence of the Labia.
Springer said she loved preforming with Pinder and Gledhill — two of her favourite comedians — who brought brutal honesty.
“We have a great time doing the show and everyone seems to come along for the ride,” she said.
“The Motherhood sold out in Margaret River when we were last in town but this time our show has more life scenarios about parenting and relationships from a guy’s perspective.”
Springer is best known for her work hosting comedy segment Questionable on Foxtel’s Couch TV and touring the US and Singapore.
“In my act I discuss being a reluctant parent and I was actually going to buy a property in Margaret River once but decided to separate from my ex-husband instead,” she said.
“I’m single but I haven’t started dating yet because dating is like going on a job interview for a job I don’t want.”
Life starts at 8.30pm on Thursday. Tickets are available via Oztix at $15 and a booking fee or $20 on the door.
