Busselton-Dunsborough Environment Centre will host a seminar on climate change next weekend.

Guest speakers include Augusta-Margaret River Shire councillors Dr Naomi Godden and Peter Lane, also a geologist, and Dunsborough Community Energy Project’s Emma Morgan.

City of Busselton planning director Paul Needham will present on the City’s coastal adaptation planning and the City’s Energy Master Plan.

The last seminar hosted by BDEC was about five years ago, and with new climate change evidence and grassroots movements constantly emerging, BDEC acting convenor Alison Cassanet said the timing felt right for another.

“There’s a lot of information out there, so we want to be able to break it down — make it understand and digestible,” she said.

The meeting will take place November 10 from 1pm to 4pm at the People Place on Kent Street in Busselton.

Entry is by donation and light refreshments will be provided. RSVP to 0400 485 892 or bdec.environment@gmail.com by November 5.
