It was a slow start for the Women’s South West League in a game between the top and the bottom of the ladder, although the result was a 6-0 win for the Robins.

The first quarter lacked focus from the Robins, who had plenty of play but failed to get a score on the board against some great goal-keeping from the Exies’ Piper Williams.

Some wise words from Robins coach Derek Goss got the players back on track, and by half-time the Robins had three goals on the scoreboard.

Exies stepped up the tempo in the third quarter but failed to get a score on the board.

Frustration resulted in a green card for an Exies player, which left them a player short for the penalty period.

Robins scored more goals despite solid defence from Exies.
