West Busselton locals are mourning the death of West Busselton man David James Gravelle after a fatal crash that occurred on Sunday on Wildwood Road in Yallingup.

About 3.50pm, Mr Gravelle was driving his black Holden Monaro east on Wildwood Road, near Butterly Road when the he failed to negotiate a left-hand bend, causing the vehicle to leave the road and roll.

The Monaro crashed into several trees with the 58-year-old sustaining serious injuries resulting in major blood loss. He died at the scene.

His passenger, a 50-year-old woman, received serious injuries and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue helicopter.

A hospital spokesperson said she was recovering and in a stable condition on Tuesday.

The notorious stretch of Wildwood Road is near the crash site which killed Dunsborough motorcyclists Andy Kelly and Brad Walters in October last year.

Several people this week used Facebook to call for road users to obey road rules on the winding Wildwood Road.

Anyone with dash camera vision of the black Holden Monaro before the crash is asked to upload the vision via this link wapf.au.evidence.com/axon/citizen/public/fatal-crash-yallingup.

Anyone with information about the crash, should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
