Landsdale man faces court over indecent assault charges against a young child at a Embleton public pool

A Landsdale man has been charged after allegedly indecently assaulting a child at an Embleton aquatic centre on Sunday. Police allege the 29-year-old man followed a young girl into the aquatic centre’s toilet facilities and indecently assaulted her. The Child Abuse Squad say the man has been charged with indecent dealings with a child under 13 years. The man appeared at the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 12, and will be returning to court on March 13. Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad have urged parents and carers to remain alert when children are in public places, and to speak with children about personal safety in an age appropriate way to reduce the risk of sexual abuse. Early reporting can help protect children from abuse and assist investigators.
