Busselton detectives investigate Foreshore Parade skate park incident

Busselton Police are investigating an incident at a local skate park over the weekend that ended with a man assaulted and a car damaged.

Police allege the victim, a man in his 40s, was skating at the Foreshore Parade park at 2.30pm on Saturday, July 27 when he saw a group of three young men or boys acting in an anti-social manner.

When he spoke to them about their behaviour, two of the men allegedly acted aggressively before stealing items from the victim’s car and damaging several windows.

During the incident, one of the boys punched the man, causing minor injuries.

A 22-year-old Busselton man was charged with threaten to kill, criminal damage or destruction of property and stealing.

He will appear in the Busselton Magistrates Court today.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and would like to speak to any potential witnesses.
