Two teenagers have been charged over a pair of fires that ripped through a Belmont vape shop just 24 hours apart from each other.

Police were first called to the scene of La Belmont Gifts, along Belvidere Street, on Monday, September 19.

The blaze had torn through the shop after several Molotov cocktails were allegedly thrown through the front glass doors.

Less than 24 hours later, police returned to the scene after another fire broke out inside the store.

A police spokeswoman revealed on Friday that two 19-year-old men had been charged with multiple offences by arson squad investigators.

One of the teenagers, from Belmont, was charged with two counts of criminal damage by fire, one of aggravated burglary and commit and one of burglary and commit.

The other, from Mirrabooka, was charged with making or possessing an explosive with intent to cause injury, criminal damage by fire, aggravated burglary and commit and possessing a prohibited drug.

Both men are due to appear in court on Friday.
