Man accused of murdering woman faces court

A man accused of murdering a woman in Melbourne's east has faced court.

Benjamin Coman, 29, on Tuesday faced an online filing hearing at Melbourne Magistrates Court, charged with murdering a 32-year-old woman at Bayswater North on October 9.

Emergency services were called to an address on Huntingdon Avenue just after 7.30pm but the woman died at the scene.

Coman is expected to face a committal mention on March 22.
