Two people shot dead at bistro near Frankfurt airport

Two people have been shot dead at a hospitality venue near Frankfurt airport, German police say.

An armed person entered a bistro at Raunheim and shot two people, who died of their injuries at the scene, police said.

The shooter fled the scene and a police search was underway.

The area around the bistro has been cordoned off.
