Teen dead in Goondiwindi trail bike crash

A teenage boy has died after a trail bike collision in the rural Queensland border town of Goondiwindi.

The 16-year-old died in Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he had been airlifted after Sunday afternoon's crash.

Police said the young motorcycle rider collided with another teenager on a trail bike in an off-road area in the Town Common Recreational Area.

The other rider, aged 17, escaped serious injury. Police were told on Monday evening the 16-year-old had died in hospital.
