An investigation is underway after a supermarket in Perth’s south east went up in flames on Saturday night.

Fire and Rescue firefighters were called to the blaze at the Thornlie Fresh IGA X-press at 9.40pm.

It took 12 appliances 40 minutes to bring the fire on Spencer Rd under control.

Police, Western Power and ATCO attended and fire investigation officers are investigating the cause of the blaze.
