Two people have died after a devastating car crash in the State’s South West yesterday afternoon.

The crash happened about 2:30pm on South Western Highway, near Knights Road in Argyle, when a Kia Rio Hatchback driving south and a Subaru Forrester travelling north collided.

A 47-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Kia Rio and a 23-year-old woman driving the Subaru died at the scene.

The female passenger in the Subaru, also aged 23, suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

She was flown to Royal Perth Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.
