Mulch is being dumped on Geraldton’s skate parks and playgrounds to enforce social distancing requirements.

Last week, the City of Greater Geraldton closed playgrounds and skate parks in compliance with requirements from the State and Federal authorities in the midst of the COVID-19 health crisis.

A City of Greater Geraldton spokeswoman said the City was taking these more aggressive measures because people were ignoring the newly placed signs and continuing to use the facilities.
