The Geraldton Guardian

Camera IconFlower power was in full force at the weekend for a Woodstock-themed party marking the end of the Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival. Punters channelled Janis Joplin, Twiggy and their peace-loving pals for the event at the Queens Park Theatre on Saturday, with local creative company Euphorium supplying all the groovy tunes for the evening. When they weren’t dancing the night away, guests put their trivia skills to the test in a series of wacky activities and challenges. The party was the last event organised as part of the four-day festival, which opened on Thursday with an evening gathering at Geraldton Regional Library. Author talks, writing workshops, art exhibitions and other activities were also held over the weekend.Pictured is Ashley Canny and Mia Abbott. Credit: Phoebe Pin/Geraldton Guardian
