New mini golf course launched in Myalup

An Australiana-inspired new mini-golf course has opened in the South West — just in time for the school holidays.

The 18-hole attraction is located at the Old Coast Brewery in Myalup.

It takes about an hour to get through the course, which is influenced by Australian flora and fauna, and includes running streams and a koi pond.

An official opening with tourist providers in the South West was held last week.

Owner Ivanka Harris said she was looking forward to offering the added service at her brewery.

“We are really proud and can’t wait to see people out here having fun,” she said.

“We also have the world’s second largest tyre on display for people to take a selfie with.”

The tyre came from a mining truck and is expected to be popular with tourists.

“We wanted to incorporate the Australian landscape into the design for tourists who weren’t able to see the whole of the State or the region.”

Murray-Wellington MLA Robyn Clarke had the honours of officially opening the course with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“This is the best mini-golf course in the South West, actually, it’s the best one I have seen,” she said.

“Well done to Ivanka and the team at Old Coast Road Brewery for making it happen.

“I have booked in the grandkids and I will be coming back to play some more mini golf in a couple of weeks.”

A family of two adults and three children can play for $50. .

Adults can play for $20 and a child’s fee will set you back $10.
