One ticketholder has scored a life-changing win after throwing caution to the wind in Thursday’s Powerball draw.

The incredibly lucky Aussie was the only player across the nation to match the seven winnings numbers plus the all-important Powerball, landing them an astonishing $50 million payday.

Luck rolled on in division two, with three ticketholders each securing a tidy sum worth more than $295,000.

Division three produced 88 winners - including 13 West Aussies - who will receive a $12,468.85 boost to their bank balances.

The numbers for draw #1556 were 5, 6, 18, 9, 14, 4 and 13. The Powerball was 14.

It comes after luck was in the air for West Aussies during a previous Millionaire Medley draw, when one Perth retiree hit the $1m jackpot using a $4.70 ticket.

“I can now fix my leaking roof, upgrade my kitchen and give some money to charity,” the stunned winner, from Wilson, said.

“When I bought the ticket, I thought I’ll never win tonight since it’s Friday the 13th.

“I’ll never be saying anything bad about the number 13 ever again.”
