It was alleged in earlier court hearings the 59-year-old shot Mr Hutchings with a single-barrel shotgun at an Oakleigh East property.

Mr Panagiotou and others were accused of storming the unit to confront a woman about DJ equipment advertised for sale on Gumtree.

The 44-year-old victim was a father-of-five who was shot in the head and was visiting the house when he was gunned down.

Mr Panagiotou will face a pre-sentence hearing in December.
