There are growing concerns for a missing WA man travelling in Mexico who has not been in contact with family or friends for almost a month.

Jesse Bruzzese has been travelling overseas but his family has been unable to contact him for the past three weeks to confirm where he is or whether he is safe.

His last known location was Riviera Maya in Cancun, Mexico.

His family, based in Mandurah, are desperately searching for answers on the 35-year-old’s whereabouts.

Mr Buzzese, who lives in Perth but grew up in Mandurah, has been travelling on his own for about nine months, and arrived in Mexico in early May.

His family and close friends haven’t been able to contact him since June 3 and his phone has been either off or out of service.

He has been reported missing to WA Police and his case is now subject to a multi-agency and cross-border investigation involving both Australian and Mexican authorities.

He is understood to be an experienced traveller and not one to go long without contacting family or friends.

An online appeal asks that anyone who may have seen Jesse, spoken with him, stayed at the same accommodation, or has any information about his whereabouts since 3 June 2026 to contact his family or police.

The worrying search comes a little over two years after Perth brothers Jake and Callum Robinson were killed in Mexico.

Authorities later concluded the brothers, along with their American friend Carter Rhoad, were killed during a robbery after they were ambushed and shot by thugs trying to steal the pick-up truck they were driving.

Their bodies were later found callously dumped in a 15m well in Baja California.

Interpol’s yellow alert used in global cases of missing people states a list of countries Mr Buzzese is likely to have visited: Cambodia, Mexico, United States, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Indonesia.

It also describes several identifying tattoos the Perth man has, including one on his inner left arm which shows a woman’s face and person with wings and one on his upper left arm of Roman numerals, hands with clock face, roses. On his left shoulder is an eagle with its wings spread over the left of his chest.

Anyone with information is asked to contact WA Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or contact the Bruzzese family privately through social media.
