IN PICTURES: Famous Darkan beach party draws more than 300 party-goers to its makeshift Darkan Hotel beach

Hundreds of party-goers rallied to a small Wheatbelt pub to enjoy the town’s second consecutive Darkan beach party following its revival after a decade-long absence. More than 300 people from across the State donned flower necklaces and Hawaiian shirts for Saturday’s event. The Darkan Hotel was decorated as a Wheatbelt “beach”. On the stage, there was live music by Darkan-born-and-bred Nicki C & The Flight Risk with guitarist Tony King, one-man-band Nate Lansdell, and Jackpot as the finishing act, keeping the entertainment going from 3pm until late into the night. Specially designed Darkan stubby holders were gifted to each guest and a Mexican food truck provided dancing fuel.
