Photographer Christian Fletcher has again teamed up with Busselton Hospice Care Incorporated to raise funds to support the organisation’s community palliative care programs through its annual calendar fund-raiser.

With the fund-raiser now running for 17 years, Fletcher has collated 12 images from across the South West that feature on the calendar.

Fletcher said finding new images to present was a difficult task, but was worth the effort.“It is nice to feel like we are putting back into the community,” he said.

“Everyone knows someone who has been in a hospice and this is a nice thing for me to be able to contribute to.”

Busselton Hospice Care Inc. manager Judy Waterman said the calendar was one of the organisation’s annual fund-raisers, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the volunteer programs managed and run at the new refurbished Geographe Bay Centre, the original hospice building.

“It helps to raise awareness of our bereavement and complementary therapy programs we offer for people in our community who are receiving palliative care services and who are recently bereaved.”

“This year’s calendar is yet another reflection of the diversity of this area of outstanding beauty where we all live,” she said.

The calendars, which cost $15, are available from Callows, Christian Fletcher Gallery, William Barrett and Sons and the Geographe Bay Centre in Craig Street, West Busselton.
