Club takes trip down memory lane
The Busselton branch of the Veteran Car Club of WA took to the roads at the weekend, celebrating its 50th anniversary in well-polished style.
The weekend kicked off on Friday with a run starting at the Queen Street clubrooms and travelling out to explore Wonnerup House, Sharp’s Museum and the Old Butter Factory.
About 180 guests took to the Senior Citizens Centre that night for a dinner dance before the club took off on Saturday morning for the 50th anniversary car rally.
Three separate rallies for motorcycles, veteran and vintage cars took place, with the largest section devoted to post-vintage vehicles.
After the presentations on Sunday, the anniversary cake was cut, with a crowd of about 160 there to celebrate the milestone.
