Australia’s first known “underwater dining” experience took place on Saturday with over 80 people attending the Busselton Jetty’s Tim Whitty “end of the Jetty” dining experience.

Guests enjoyed Aravina wines and Colonial Brewery beers and ciders while watching the sunset and enjoying creative seafood and canapes of South West produce 1.8km out to sea.

Busselton Jetty chief executive Lisa Shreeve said the first dinner was a sell-out and the next four dinners were also selling fast.

“People really enjoyed this new experience above and beyond water with Tim’s creative canapes a highlight of the evening,” she said.

“The night tour 8m below the ocean was also exciting with the coloured lights under water providing a beautiful backdrop to the socialising occurring on the night as many people made new friends.”
