A South West city’s first ever camping and caravan show has proved to be a major hit, breaking records for attendees across all of the industry’s regional shows

The first-ever Busselton Caravan & Camping Show took place over the weekend at Churchill Park, drawing more than 11,000 from across the region eager to plan their next adventure.

The event was organised by the Caravan Industry Association Western Australia which said the turnout was bigger than any of its regional caravan and camping shows across the State.

With interactive displays, live music, food vendors and more there was something for everyone on the day and people made plans for their next camping trip.

CIAWA chief executive officer Carol McCracken said multiple generations were out enjoying the festivities.

“On behalf of the Caravan Industry Association WA board, exhibitors and our dedicated team, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the caravan and camping community for joining us at the first ever Busselton Caravan & Camping Show,” she said.

“This past weekend has been incredible, and we look forward to the show returning to beautiful Busselton next September.”

George Day Caravans representative Lindy Tayor said the weekend exceeded their expectations, with Mandalay Holiday Resort representative Rhys Johnson telling the Times they had seen both locals and travellers while exhibiting.
