Playground berth for revamped vessel
Members of the Dunsborough Men’s Shed have been hard at work repurposing a 90-year-old boat to become part of a new playground at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. Dunsborough Men’s Shed president Richard Bailey said the group had been approached by the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association to repair and revive the vessel.
Starting the project two weeks ago, members of the shed have spent more than 130 hours fixing up the boat, which was built in 1927 and used in waters around Adelaide.
Mr Bailey said the boat was due to be finished today, and would soon be installed as part of a playground at the lighthouse.
