Artworks depicting seascapes along the West Australian coast are the focus of a new exhibition at The Studio Gallery and Bistro in Yallingup.

For the next 10 days the gallery will feature the work of artist Genevieve Montgomerie, as part of a wider gallery exhibition.

Gallery director Sandy Tippett said the gallery was shifting focus to promote the work of individual artists to give them a chance to create several new pieces to be displayed.

Ms Tippett said Montgomerie’s style was a “refreshing fusion of traditional techniques in modern compositions”.

“I love her contemporary take on seascapes; her work is realistic but has a contemporary slant,” she said.

The exhibition is now open and will be held until Sunday, November 19.
