Star siblings bound for NSW nationals
Busselton equestrian competitors Anna Johnson and siblings Emilia, Henry and Harriet Forrest will travel to Sydney in March to represent WA at the Showhorse Council Australasia Grand Nationals.
The riders had a successful year, winning State championships and gaining entry into 12 classes at the prestigious grand nationals.
Nine-year old Harriet competed in Sydney last year and was the runner-up rider in the under-9s category.
Johnson won champion senior rider at the 2017 Perth Royal show, while 16-year-old Emilia was also successful, named champion child’s show hack at the Show Horse Council WA classic and 11-year-old Henry had the champion child’s hunter pony at the SHCWA Classic.
While in Sydney, the riders will also compete at the National Pony Show and the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Their horses, Chatty, Violet, Bentley and Mistle, will also make the trip to New South Wales. To help transport the four horses across the country, the riders are holding movie and quiz nights.
Molly’s Game will screen at Orana Cinemas in Busselton on February 1.
Tickets are available from Callow’s Corner Newsagency and the quiz night will be at Cowaramup Hall on February 9. Contact Lyn on 0408 376 131 for details.
