State’s best small store

Busselton Dunsborough Times

Busselton’s B.G’s Fruit and Vegie Mart has been named the best small fresh produce retailer in the State after being carefully hand-picked from a basket of nominees.

The small business took on independent metro and regional retailers and national supermarkets in this year’s Market City Retailer of the Year Awards, coming out on top to be recognised as WA’s best small store.

The awards began in 2002 to recognise and reward fresh produce retailers who demonstrated excellent customer service and retailing standards.

The awards were open to all retailers and nominees across the State and entrants were judged based on freshness, quality, customer service, consumer information and shop presentation.

Store owner Wayne Howell said he was surprised to be nominated but was pleased with the result.
