The Bunbury motorcycle community gathered for a good cause on Sunday when they participated in a charity ride to raise money for a Bunbury woman.

More than 100 riders met about 9am at Bunbury Forum and donated a minimum of $20 to participate in the ride for Jaime’s Cause, a charity set up to help raise money for Jaime Harris who suffered serious injuries after a motorcycle accident.

Riders made the round trip, which stopped at Nannup, Bridgetown and Donnybrook before stopping at the Dardanup Tavern for lunch.

Organiser Barry “Grub” Kelson said the motorcycle community wanted to get involved and help the cause.

“She’s a young lass who needs some help and the motorbike fraternity is so generous,” he said.

“There are also a lot of women riding today which is great.”

One unknown donor came through with $1000, while many others donated money to help Jaime Harris’ cause.
