Festival back to showcase craft brews
Beer lovers from across the State are due to flock to Busselton this weekend to sample some of the region's best brews at the South West Craft Beer Festival.
The festival, which will celebrate its fifth year, will showcase craft beer from 16 breweries and offer more than 80 beers on tap.
Festival director Jason Dover said it was exciting to see the event growing each year.
"We're delighted to be celebrating our fifth year of the Craft Beer Festival with our brewery mates from across the South West," he said.
"It's a great opportunity for visitors and locals alike to soak up the festival atmosphere with friends and sample some of WA's finest craft beers and ciders and taste some delicious food offerings, all within the beautiful grounds of Old Broadwater Farm."
Beer enthusiasts will also get to enjoy local entertainment set up on three stages throughout the festival and some of the region's best food and wine.
Cowaramup Brewing Co brewer and co-owner Jeremy Good has been involved with the festival since it started and said the event was great to promote the region's beer.
"The festival showcases the breweries from the region and gives punters a chance to experience lots of different beers and chat with brewers in the same venue," he said.
"I enjoy the festival, having a beer and seeing other people who are passionate about beer."
The South West Craft Beer Festival will start at 11am tomorrow at Old Broadwater Farm. Tickets are $30.
