Busselton Volleyball Association’s beach competitions resume next week, played across five courts on the Busselton foreshore.

The competitive A-grade team has seen a regular and high standard of play, with players Kody Hoosen and Dylan Phillips dominating the division.

But young Margaret River duo Ben Hopkins and Sunny Kemp are putting their recent State training to use and rising as a threat to the winning duo, as are Daniel Egerding and Tim Chadwick.

The four-a-side games on Wednesday nights have also been popular, with 18 teams of varying experience and skill in total. Of these, the A-grade teams have been closely matched in the first three rounds, with impressive rallies in many games.

Dunsborough team The Tigers lead the charge so far, captained by Alban Peron, closely followed by the Flying Dutchman, captained by Vasco Naydenov.

Players who are starting out have the opportunity to hone their skills with coaching by Hoosen, with sessions every Thursday night from 6pm in January.

Phone Hoosen on 0474 143 984 or turn up to the beach.
