Hotshots bring heat to Esplanade

The Sydney Hotshots will turn up the heat in Busselton tonight when they bring their Secret Fantasies tour to the Esplanade hotel.

The Sydney-based group have been steaming their way across the country for more than 20 years.

With members from the UK, Spain and throughout Sydney, the group are set to provide two hours of non-stop dance routines, competitions, muscle demos, a wide range of hit music and classic cameos. But there’s more to the male revue group than their ripped bodies and cheeky personalities.

Performer and group MC Davey Hughes — who spent about 10 years performing in Las Vegas before moving back to Australia to work with the Hotshots — described the show as “the ultimate fun ladies night out”.

“This year we have a brand new show and brand new group routines, so it’s a Bruno Mars vibe crossed with Magic Mike,” he said.

“We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we take the show seriously; it’s fun and laughable.”

Hughes said the show was bursting with cameos from James Bond, cowboys and firemen.

“We have a bit of a laugh and we love it when girls come up and say it’s the best topless show they’ve seen,” he said.

“But we enjoy it, who doesn’t want to do a job with girls screaming at you?”

Tickets are $30, available from Esplanade Hotel reception.
