A 21-year-old Busselton man has been transferred to Royal Perth Hospital with possible bleeding to the brain after a car crash in Wonnerup.

Busselton Senior Sergeant Steve Principe said the man was travelling east on Layman Road near Forrest Beach Road about midday yesterday when he veered off the road and into a tree.

The man had to be cut out of his vehicle and was initially taken to South West Health Campus in Bunbury.

Sen. Sgt Principe said there was no indication of what caused the crash and South West Traffic officers were investigating.
