New greens for club

Chloe FraserBusselton Dunsborough Times

The Dunsborough Country Club received a grant from the City of Busselton to replace the carpet on two of the club’s bowling greens.

The club is home to about 100 active bowls members, with social and competitive games played daily.

Country club president and bowls chairman Rob Prentice said the previous greens were about 10 years old and he thanked the City for their support.

“We went with carpet greens instead of synthetic because there is a lot less maintenance required,” he said.

“We want it to be a facility for all the community not just members.

“Hopefully these new greens will last even longer.”
