Sultana serves up sweet sounds
More than 5000 people attended Tash Sultana’s live show last weekend at 3 Oceans Wine Company in Metricup.
Melbourne band Pierce Brothers supported Sultana, playing original folk tunes into the early evening.
After sunset, Sultana stepped onstage and introduced the show with “housekeeping rules” about practising acceptance and inclusion.
The next two hours saw her switch between trumpet, synthesiser and guitar, playing favourites like Jungle, Blackbird and Higher.
