Sustainability the focus for Bay OK Day

Dunsborough Primary School will celebrate science and marine sustainability today with a Bay OK Day.

School sustainability leader Helena Nicholson said the whole school would carry out sustainability initiatives at Old Dunsborough Beach, followed by a picnic lunch.

The day will include a special visit by Westy the Leafy Sea Dragon, the Ngari Marine Park mascot.

Activities will include talks by Captain Coast Care and Dune Dude, fishing games, beachcombing and marine debris art, surf life saving, stormwater games and a Dantatup Brook walk.

It will conclude with a paddle-off by the two Year 6 classes.
