Teen charged after victim launches public appeal
A South Lakes teenager has been charged with serious assault and the kidnapping of a Margaret River man in July.
The 20-year-old victim made a public appeal with police in Margaret River yesterday morning.
Busselton detectives charged a 17-year-old man today with a string of related offences.
He was charged after investigators identified him as one of the group involved.
He has been charged with aggravated robbery, detained another with intent to gain a benefit, act or omission causing bodily harm, criminal damage, stealing, possessing a disguise and possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property.
The accused will appear before Fremantle Children’s Court tomorrow.
Inquiries are continuing to identify the other males involved.
