Tributes have poured in after the founder of a famous Bunbury nightclub died recently. Frank Peter David died on November 22 at the age of 74 in Bunbury Regional Hospital. Mr David was most well-known for being the owner and founder of SuperFlys, one of Bunbury’s premier party spots of the 1980s. SuperFlys was located at Albert Road and was first established in 1981, with many former revellers sending in images of good memories of Bunbury’s premier party place. Mr David’s daughter-in-law Aly David has remembered Mr David as a generous, loving man and a doting father. “He was my husband’s rock and mentor, he was an amazing father-in-law to me,” she said. “He was very proud of his son, Jamie, and his granddaughters Jordy and Willow. “I just want everyone to shine his memory bright on the star we have lost from our family that will never be forgotten.” Many have gone on social media to post memories and photos with Mr David wanting to share good stories that came out of the nightclub. “The couples that met and married because of SuperFlys, he was so happy and blessed he could make something for the young of Bunbury back in the day,” she said.
