BDCAW 2023: Focus shifts to T20 as Marist host Donnybrook at Forrest Park

A month ago, Marist appeared to be staring down the barrel of a long first grade season in the BDCA women’s competition. However heading into Sunday’s home T20 against Donnybrook at Forrest Park, the Blues are back in form and appear to have developed an added layer of belief. Gabrielle House delivered with both bat and ball during Sunday’s three-run win over Leschenault, while sisters Ebony and Holly Bilcich have been regular contributors. The Dons, who have set the pace over the past two years in the women’s competition, lost to the Green Caps by seven wickets on November 26, after being rolled for 31. Despite the loss, the reigning premiers were somewhat depleted and expected to have a few return this weekend. At Leschenault Recreation Park, the Green Caps host Colts, with both sides keen to bank another win prior to the Christmas break.
