The Bunbury City Council will reinstate ticketed parking and PayStay monitoring from this Monday which was suspended since March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Parking will remain free throughout the CBD, predominantly for a two-hour period with designated shopper/visitor carparks offering three hours free ticketed parking.

The council operates more than 100 parking ticket machines to manage its parking spaces as well as the mobile application PayStay. Free all-day parking is available at both the Ocean Drive and Queens Gardens car parks.

The decision to cease ticketed and paid parking has been reviewed with feedback considered from stakeholders including visitors, retailers and business owners.

As a result, the decision to reinstate ticketed parking has been made to encourage short-stay occupancy by those accessing CBD businesses and to allow for a continuous flow of traffic.
