Dunsborough Primary School students celebrated a huge milestone last Friday, which included a fun day full of singing and lots of cake! Established in 1963, this year marks the school’s 60th anniversary. The day started with City of Busselton Deputy Mayor Paul Carter and principal Taylor Webb planting a tree, which will hopefully grow to be part of the school’s history. Later in the morning the whole school gathered for an assembly which included the choir singing and dancing to the popular songs Celebration by Kool & The Gang and Price Tag by Jessie J. A short video was played highlighting the school’s history and included many pictures from over the 60 years. The video also included a message from West Coast Eagles superstar and former Dunsborough Primary School student Reuben Ginbey, who wished the school a very happy birthday. After the video, Mr Webb addressed the students. “As everyone can tell from the video, the amount of opportunities, events and the things that you get to experience at Dunsborough Primary School is absolutely phenomenal,” he said. “I look forward to the next 10 years and I hope that I am here. Happy birthday Dunsborough Primary School.” The assembly ended with Mr Webb and former principal Garry Jones cutting the cake.
