Meanwhile, former Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault Lion Ethan Hughes had a solid outing in Fremantle’s 17.9 (111) to 10.10 (70) win over St Kilda at Marvel Stadium. Hughes finished with 11 disposals, two marks, two intercept possessions, three score involvements, seven pressure acts, and a clearance. Busselton’s James Tunstill made his presence known during Brisbane’s tough 15.10 (100) to 13.12 (90) loss to Essendon at the Gabba on Sunday. Sighted throughout the midfield, the 18-year-old finished with 11 disposals, a mark, a score involvement, 10 pressure acts, two clearances and two inside 50s. The round concluded with Harvey’s Brady Hough being a modest contributor for West Coast in their 17.14 (116) to 8.5 (53) loss to Carlton at Optus Stadium. The 19-year-old showed promise in the back half, managing 11 disposals, three marks, a tackle, an intercept possession, a score involvement, seven pressure acts and two inside 50s.
