Some of the South West’s brightest stars were on full display at Optus Stadium at the weekend as Fremantle and West Coast engaged in a physical western derby.

During the third round of the 2023 AFL season, Busselton’s Jye Amiss, former HBL Lion Ethan Hughes and Dunsborough’s Reuben Ginbey lined up for an action-packed western derby 56 on Sunday.

While Fremantle managed a dramatic 16.12 (108) to 9.13 (67) win over the Eagles, Ginbey was named among the best of the injury-hit Eagles for the match.
