Two volunteers, who have spent 35 years between them helping the less fortunate in Bunbury, have celebrated their last day at the Intown Centre.

Marilyn French and Rhonda Jones have dedicated countless hours of their time to the Intown Centre, an organisation which provides a day centre and meals service for disadvantaged people who are facing issues such as loneliness, poverty and homelessness.

Along with working in the kitchen, Ms Jones was also a member of the Intown Centre board. Intown Centre chairman David Bailey said he was thankful for the time both women had dedicated to the centre.

“Not only are they tireless in their devotion, they’re inspirational because they give up their time without any question,” he said. “It’s just wonderful to see what they do for the community in Bunbury.”

Mr Bailey said both Ms Jones and Ms French gave so much to the centre and were devoted to helping those who were less fortunate.
