Dunsborough Playing Fields is set to play host to a battle to break respective losing streaks as the Dunsborough Sharks and Eaton Boomers face off. The Sharks and Boomers are set to go head to head on Sunday in a bid to end their losing streaks in round 15 of the 2022 SWFL women’s season. For the Sharks, it will be another chance to record their inaugural win of the season since joining the competition this year. Dunsborough sit at the bottom of the ladder, yet to record a victory, despite their skill levels improving over recent weeks. Despite putting the pressure on wherever they can across the backline, the Sharks have struggled to drive the ball forward to rack up the goals having not booted a goal since round five against Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault. Prior to the general bye last weekend, Dunsborough were at the hands of a determined Carey Park outfit, going down 10.7 (67) to 0.0 (0) at Kelly Park. Meanwhile, the Boomers will be looking to snap a seven-game losing streak after struggling to find form in recent weeks. The Boomers sit in eighth place on the ladder with just one win to their name. Despite getting off to a solid start during the season’s early rounds, Eaton have hit a rut in form and produced low-scoring results against the likes of Carey Park, Bunbury, Busselton, HBL and Donnybrook. Before last weekend’s general bye, Eaton struggled against the Dons, falling short 4.14 (38) to 1.1 (7) with Kira Price scoring their only goal. The last time the Sharks and the Boomers met was back in round four during the Anzac long weekend at Glen Huon Reserve, where Eaton recorded their sole win for the season 9.13 (67) to 0.0 (0).
